Odyssey is a US public benefit corporation currently offering legal psilocybin retreats and private sessions in Oregon, with plans to expand to other states as regulations allow.

The Evolving Psychedelic Landscape:
Psilocybin Legalization in Oregon

The psychedelic landscape has evolved significantly since Atman launched its retreats in Jamaica in 2019. In late 2020, the state of Oregon passed Measure 109, which led to the establishment of a program for the regulated use of psilocybin. That means it’s now possible to access psilocybin services in the US under Oregon’s state-level framework.

Atman has supported the Oregon initiative since its inception. The Oregon framework aligns with our belief that safe, legal psychedelic experiences should be widely available, and not require a clinical diagnosis or prescription. Certain standards core to psilocybin service delivery in Oregon in fact closely mirror processes we’ve used at Atman since the beginning.

The Oregon model confers several benefits, including licensing for facilitators, service centers, and psilocybin product manufacturers, ensuring certain safety and quality standards.

Odyssey

Founded by a Stanford-trained aerospace engineer and advised by Harvard-trained psychiatrists, Odyssey provides group psilocybin experiences (4-day retreats) at a variety of licensed service centers in Oregon. Private sessions are also available with Odyssey’s statewide network of highly vetted psilocybin service providers, who are matched with clients based on individual needs and goals.

Services are available to anyone looking for profound personal growth, as well as people seeking modalities to supplement their current treatments for mental health issues like depression, PTSD, OCD, grief or existential distress (e.g. in palliative care).

Transitioning from Jamaica to Oregon

Atman's focus from this point forward will be on integrating our processes, best practices, and learnings from Jamaica to support Odyssey’s psilocybin services in Oregon. As regulations allow, Odyssey will expand its services to other states (e.g. Colorado). Odyssey will not be offering services in Jamaica.
